Leadership Lee County is a program sponsored by the Auburn and Opelika Chambers of Commerce. It seeks out, honors, educates, challenges, and develops a select group of Lee County Citizens who have the potential to provide the leadership needed to solve problems of community and statewide significance.
Participants are selected on the basis of ability, demonstrated interest in the community, and potential for responsible and effective leadership.
The purpose of Leadership Lee County is to identify, develop and inspire future leaders through professional development, educational opportunities, and community involvement.
FEES & TUITION
• $25 non-refundable application fee
• $900 tuition for the program
• Includes kick off sessions, materials, and meals
• If accepted, full tuition due October 1, 2021 payable to “Leadership Lee County”
In order to be considered for application to the Leadership Lee County class, applicants must complete all items listed on the application form. We suggest allocating 30 minutes to complete the application in its entirety. Please check it over carefully for any omissions before submitting. Once the application is submitted, you will then be directed to pay the application fee, complete the employer agreement, and have two reference letters submitted by July 31, 2021. Please only complete the Anne Grady Scholarship application if you will require financial assistance and/or your respective company would not be able to pay the tuition.
All applications are subject to confidential evaluation by our Selection Committee. Due to the size restrictions of each year’s class and the need for diversity in class composition, many qualified candidates may not be chosen for inclusion in the class. However, individuals are strongly encouraged to re-apply in subsequent years.
